Villa María is the city of Córdoba’s dairy basin on the Córdoba–Rosario motorway: National Route 9, Route 158 towards Río Cuarto and San Francisco and Route 4 connect it with the whole region, with dairy plants, meatpacking plants and an industrial park moving tanker and cargo trucks, and with Villa Nueva on the other side of the Ctalamochita river. Municipal fines are issued by the city; route fines are issued by the provincial Policía Caminera and coexist on the same plates.

Context and authority

The framework is the National Traffic Law 24.449, which Córdoba adheres to: fixed units, two-year limitation for minor offences and five for serious ones. The municipal misdemeanour court rules on fines issued within the municipality; route fines and those of the provincial authority are explained in the Córdoba article.

The municipal misdemeanour court rules on fines issued within the city: speeding and red lights on the camera avenues and at the approaches from the motorway, parking downtown and lanes and manoeuvres at the industrial park approaches. A defence is filed with the court within the period set by the notice; fines on the motorway and on Routes 158 and 4 outside the town limits belong to the Policía Caminera.

What the API returns for this jurisdiction

In Villa María the API queries the Villa María municipal misdemeanour court and, in the same lookup, the other integrated sources of Córdoba; it returns each fine with the authority that issued it:

  • The authority that issued the fine and its number, unnormalised.
  • The date and description of the infraction, with the location if the court reports it.
  • The amount and status current at the source, with the payment conditions it publishes.
  • The link to the payment slip when the authority offers one.
  • Which sources answered and which did not, to tell a complete result from a partial one.

How to check a plate in Villa María

A plate is checked by hand at the Villa María municipal portal, in the provincial sources explained in the Córdoba article and at the ANSV national lookup. The API does the same round at scale and returns each fine with the authority that issued it, so verification becomes part of the process rather than a spreadsheet.

What to watch if you run a fleet in Villa María

A tanker truck touring the basin’s dairy farms and entering the plant through Villa María’s access roads crosses municipal and Caminera checks every day; the same plate lookup returns both fines separately, and running it at month end, with the per-source result stored, assigns each fine to the driver and covers the defence in time.

For a transport company using the Córdoba–Rosario motorway daily, Villa María’s municipal fines are few and the Caminera’s frequent and expensive; reading the result per source avoids mixing two circuits with different deadlines.

How to integrate

Each plate is sent in a POST, with the jurisdictions to include if you do not want to query all of them. The response accepts the job and the result is retrieved by status lookup or arrives by webhook once the sources finish answering. The vehicle lookup quality guide explains how to handle partial results and the API page details access.

Limits and considerations

  • Fines on national and provincial routes outside the town limits are not municipal; the response names the authority of each.
  • Fixed-unit amounts are converted at the value current at the source; the final amount is set by the authority at the time of payment.
  • A source that does not answer is reported as such, never as an absence of infractions.
  • The API neither pays fines nor handles defences; it delivers information to decide.
