Tigre combines the delta and weekend tourism with one of the industrial hubs of the northern suburbs: the car plants of General Pacheco, the warehouses of Benavídez and the neighbourhoods of Nordelta and Don Torcuato are connected by the Tigre branch of the Panamericana, Route 27 and Santa María de las Conchas avenue. Municipal fines are issued by the partido on camera-equipped avenues and access roads; motorway and provincial fines coexist on the same plates.

Context and authority

The partido adheres to the National Traffic Law 24.449 through the provincial law: fines are expressed in fixed units and lapse after two years if minor and five if serious. Municipal fines are ruled on by the partido’s misdemeanour court; those issued by the province follow their own circuit, described in the Buenos Aires article.

The municipal misdemeanour court rules on fines issued within the partido: speeding and red lights on the avenues of downtown Tigre, Pacheco and Don Torcuato, lanes and manoeuvres at the approaches to Nordelta and the fruit port, and parking in the riverside area. A defence is filed with the court within the period set by the notice; Panamericana fines are not municipal.

What the API returns for this jurisdiction

A plate lookup in Tigre walks the Tigre municipal misdemeanour court together with the integrated provincial sources of Buenos Aires, and returns each fine with the authority that issued it:

  • Authority and fine number exactly as each court publishes them.
  • Date, location when reported and description of the infraction.
  • Amount, status and payment conditions published by that court.
  • Downloadable payment slip when one exists.
  • Coverage per source and partial-result flag.

How to check a plate in Tigre

To check a plate by hand there are three places: the Tigre municipal portal for municipal fines, the provincial circuit described in the Buenos Aires article and the ANSV national lookup for fines loaded into the national system. With ten vehicles that is enough; with a hundred, the API walks every integrated source by plate and returns the result split by authority.

What to watch if you run a fleet in Tigre

An auto-parts or logistics fleet supplying the Pacheco plants goes in and out through camera-equipped access roads several times a day; the fine reaches the owner’s address weeks later, when the trip is already closed. Looking up each plate at month end, with the per-source result stored, assigns the fine to the driver and covers the defence in time.

For a rent-a-car or a transfer company working the delta and Nordelta tourism, the peak is long weekends and summer; checking the plate at the return of each service, with the result stored, charges the fine to the customer who was driving instead of absorbing it when renewing the technical inspection.

How to integrate

Each plate is sent in a POST, with the jurisdictions to include if you do not want to query all of them. The response accepts the job and the result is retrieved by status lookup or arrives by webhook once the sources finish answering. The vehicle lookup quality guide explains how to handle partial results and the API page details access.

Limits and considerations

  • Fines on the Panamericana and on Route 27 may be provincial or the concessionaire’s, not municipal; the response names the authority of each.
  • Fixed-unit amounts are converted at the value current at the source; the final amount is set by the authority at the time of payment.
  • A source that does not answer is reported as such, never as an absence of infractions.
  • The API neither pays fines nor handles defences; it delivers information to decide.
