Escobar is the partido of the plant nurseries and the Panamericana: the Escobar branch of the motorway, Route 25 towards Pilar and Route 26 towards Campana cross Belén de Escobar, Garín, Ingeniero Maschwitz and Matheu, with an industrial park in Garín and transit traffic towards the north of the province that grows every year. Municipal fines are issued by the partido on avenues and access roads; motorway and provincial fines coexist on the same plates.

Context and authority

Like every partido in Buenos Aires, it applies the National Traffic Law 24.449 through the provincial adhesion: fixed-unit amounts, a two-year limitation for minor offences and five for serious ones, and a defence before the court that issued the fine. Provincial fines are covered in the Buenos Aires article.

The municipal misdemeanour court rules on fines issued within the partido: speeding and red lights on the avenues of Belén de Escobar and Garín, lanes and manoeuvres at the industrial park approaches and on the service roads, and parking downtown. A defence is filed with the court within the period set by the notice; Panamericana fines are not municipal.

What the API returns for this jurisdiction

In Escobar the API queries the Escobar municipal misdemeanour court and, in the same lookup, the other integrated sources of Buenos Aires; it returns each fine with the authority that issued it:

  • The authority that issued the fine and its number, unnormalised.
  • The date and description of the infraction, with the location if the court reports it.
  • The amount and status current at the source, with the payment conditions it publishes.
  • The link to the payment slip when the authority offers one.
  • Which sources answered and which did not, to tell a complete result from a partial one.

How to check a plate in Escobar

A plate is checked by hand at the Escobar municipal portal, in the provincial sources explained in the Buenos Aires article and at the ANSV national lookup. The API does the same round at scale and returns each fine with the authority that issued it, so verification becomes part of the process rather than a spreadsheet.

What to watch if you run a fleet in Escobar

A delivery or service fleet leaving Garín northwards crosses the partido’s service roads, access roads and camera avenues every day, and receives the fine weeks later at the owner’s address; looking up each plate at month end, with the per-source result stored, assigns the fine to the driver while the route sheet exists.

The nurseries and the industrial-park companies receive trucks from all over the country: an Escobar fine on a plate from another province shows up at the next checkpoint or when renewing the technical inspection, with no discount left. A plate lookup before each trip to the partido, and another thirty days later, covers the defence in time.

How to integrate

The integration starts with one POST per plate, with the jurisdiction as an optional filter. Since courts answer at their own pace, the API accepts the job and delivers the result by status or webhook; store the idempotency key before sending, as the asynchronous APIs guide describes. The API page details access.

Limits and considerations

  • Fines on the Panamericana and on Routes 25 and 26 may be provincial or the concessionaire’s, not municipal; the response names the authority of each.
  • Fixed-unit amounts are converted at the value current at the source; the final amount is set by the authority at the time of payment.
  • A source that does not answer is reported as such, never as an absence of infractions.
  • The API neither pays fines nor handles defences; it delivers information to decide.
