Berazategui is a partido of the southern suburbs known as the glass capital for its historic factories, and today also for the Plátanos industrial park and the gated communities of Hudson. The Buenos Aires–La Plata motorway crosses it with the Hudson toll, the General Belgrano road and Mitre avenue connect it with Quilmes and Florencio Varela, and Route 2 and Route 36 start nearby towards the coast. Trucks heading to the port of La Plata, cars leaving for the coast in summer and service fleets from the south cross the partido without being registered in it. Urban fines are issued by the Municipality; those on the motorway and the routes depend on the province.

Context and authority

Like every partido in Buenos Aires, it applies the National Traffic Law 24.449 through the provincial adhesion: fixed-unit amounts, a two-year limitation for minor offences and five for serious ones, and a defence before the court that issued the fine. Provincial fines are covered in the Buenos Aires article.

The municipal misdemeanour court rules on fines issued within the partido: speeding and red lights on Mitre avenue, avenue 14 and the urban stretch of the General Belgrano road, parking downtown and document and load checks at municipal operations. A defence is filed with the court within the period set by the notice. Fines on the motorway and on routes 2 and 36 are provincial and follow the province’s circuit.

What the API returns for this jurisdiction

In Berazategui a plate lookup walks the integrated provincial sources of Buenos Aires, starting with InfraccionesBA, the provincial registry of the Buenos Aires Ministry of Transport, and returns each fine with the authority that issued it:

  • The authority that issued the fine and its number, unnormalised.
  • The date and description of the infraction, with the location if the court reports it.
  • The amount and status current at the source, with the payment conditions it publishes.
  • The link to the payment slip when the authority offers one.
  • Which sources answered and which did not, to tell a complete result from a partial one.

How to check a plate in Berazategui

To check a plate by hand there are three places: the Berazategui Municipality portal for municipal fines, the provincial circuit described in the Buenos Aires article and the ANSV national lookup for fines loaded into the national system. With ten vehicles that is enough; with a hundred, the API walks every integrated source by plate and returns the result split by authority.

What to watch if you run a fleet in Berazategui

A truck fleet heading to the port of La Plata or the Plátanos industrial park passes the Hudson toll several times a day, and provincial speeding and load fines pile up on plates registered in another partido. Looking up each plate at month end, with the result stored per source, lets you assign the fine to the trip’s driver before the notice reaches the owner.

For a rent-a-car delivering cars for the coast, the plate lookup at the return of each rental charges the customer the motorway fine that would otherwise show up months later on the company, with no discount left.

How to integrate

A lookup is a POST with the plate and, optionally, the jurisdictions to include; the initial response accepts the job and the result arrives by status lookup or webhook, because official sources answer in seconds or minutes. The asynchronous APIs guide explains how to retry without duplicating work and the API page details access.

Limits and considerations

  • Provincial fines on a plate originate on routes and motorways across the whole province, not only in the partido; the response names the authority and the location when the source reports it.
  • Fixed-unit amounts are converted at the value current at the source; the final amount is set by the authority at the time of payment.
  • A source that does not answer is reported as such, never as an absence of infractions.
  • The API neither pays fines nor handles defences; it delivers information to decide.
