Overview

Check a vehicle’s Revisión Técnica Obligatoria (RTO) by plate across the integrated official sources of each province: authority, vehicle category, result and validity as published. The same integration serves onboarding, fleet control and used-vehicle reviews.

Use cases

  • Gather inspection documentation history
  • Support vehicle onboarding checks
  • Organize fleet documentation follow-up

Coverage and availability

Coverage is defined by province and integrated registry; every response reports which sources were queried and which did not answer. Provinces applying RTO (or ITV) are queried here; Buenos Aires Province and the City, under the VTV regime, through the VTV API.

What to consider

  • The result keeps the category and the authority that publishes it; a cargo vehicle and a private car follow different periods and the response indicates it.
  • Validity is reported as the registry publishes it; an earlier inspection does not attest the current mechanical condition.
  • A response with no record is distinguished from a source that did not answer; neither states that the vehicle circulates without inspection.

Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from the VTV API?

The regime and the sources: RTO covers the provinces applying the National Traffic Law with their own registries; VTV, Buenos Aires Province and the City. Both products share the integration contract.

Does it work for every vehicle category?

Yes, within what each registry publishes: private, cargo and passenger vehicles, with the category and period that apply to each.

Can an acceptance decision be automated?

The response delivers result, validity and authority so your process can decide; the valid certificate is still the one from the licensed workshop or centre.
