Vicente López is the first partido of the northern suburbs: next to the General Paz, crossed by the Panamericana and traversed by Maipú and Libertador avenues, with Olivos, Florida, Munro and Villa Martelli as its centres, corporate offices along the waterfront and daily traffic of private cars, company fleets and deliveries. Municipal fines are issued by the partido on camera avenues and metered parking; motorway and provincial fines coexist on the same plates.

Context and authority

Amounts and deadlines follow the National Traffic Law 24.449 and Buenos Aires’s adhesion: fixed units, a two-year limitation for minor offences and five for serious ones, a defence before the authority that issued the fine. This article covers municipal fines; the provincial circuit is in the Buenos Aires article.

The municipal misdemeanour court rules on fines issued within the partido: speeding and red lights on Maipú and Libertador avenues and at camera-equipped crossings, metered and prohibited parking in Olivos and Florida, and lanes and manoeuvres at the Panamericana approaches. A defence is filed with the court within the period set by the notice; Panamericana and General Paz fines are not municipal.

What the API returns for this jurisdiction

In Vicente López the API queries the Vicente López municipal misdemeanour court and, in the same lookup, the other integrated sources of Buenos Aires; it returns each fine with the authority that issued it:

  • Authority and fine number exactly as each court publishes them.
  • Date, location when reported and description of the infraction.
  • Amount, status and payment conditions published by that court.
  • Downloadable payment slip when one exists.
  • Coverage per source and partial-result flag.

How to check a plate in Vicente López

A plate is checked by hand at the Vicente López municipal portal, in the provincial sources explained in the Buenos Aires article and at the ANSV national lookup. The API does the same round at scale and returns each fine with the authority that issued it, so verification becomes part of the process rather than a spreadsheet.

What to watch if you run a fleet in Vicente López

A corporate fleet based in the waterfront or Munro offices accumulates parking and speeding fines on Libertador avenue on plates assigned to rotating employees; looking up each plate at month end, with the per-source result stored, assigns each fine to whoever had the car and covers the defence in time.

For a delivery company entering from the City along the General Paz and working Olivos and Florida, the municipal fines are for red lights and parking, and the motorway ones are provincial; the same lookup returns them separately and avoids mixing two circuits with different deadlines.

How to integrate

Each plate is sent in a POST, with the jurisdictions to include if you do not want to query all of them. The response accepts the job and the result is retrieved by status lookup or arrives by webhook once the sources finish answering. The vehicle lookup quality guide explains how to handle partial results and the API page details access.

Limits and considerations

  • Panamericana and General Paz fines belong to the concessionaire, the province or the City, not the municipality; the response names the authority of each.
  • Fixed-unit amounts are converted at the value current at the source; the final amount is set by the authority at the time of payment.
  • A source that does not answer is reported as such, never as an absence of infractions.
  • The API neither pays fines nor handles defences; it delivers information to decide.
