San Vicente is a partido in the southern suburbs that grew with gated communities and weekend traffic: Route 210 links it with Almirante Brown and the City, Route 6 crosses it from east to west and Route 58 connects it with Cañuelas, with Alejandro Korn as its commercial centre, Domselaar as a rural village and the lagoon as its promenade. Municipal fines are issued by the partido; route and provincial fines coexist on the same plates.

Context and authority

Like every partido in Buenos Aires, it applies the National Traffic Law 24.449 through the provincial adhesion: fixed-unit amounts, a two-year limitation for minor offences and five for serious ones, and a defence before the court that issued the fine. Provincial fines are covered in the Buenos Aires article.

The municipal misdemeanour court rules on fines issued within the partido: speeding on the urban stretch of Route 210 and at the approaches to the gated communities, red lights at the camera-equipped crossings of Alejandro Korn and parking downtown and at the lagoon. A defence is filed with the court within the period set by the notice; fines on Route 6 and on Route 210 outside the town limits are not municipal.

What the API returns for this jurisdiction

A plate lookup in San Vicente walks the San Vicente municipal misdemeanour court together with the integrated provincial sources of Buenos Aires, and returns each fine with the authority that issued it:

  • The authority that issued the fine and its number, unnormalised.
  • The date and description of the infraction, with the location if the court reports it.
  • The amount and status current at the source, with the payment conditions it publishes.
  • The link to the payment slip when the authority offers one.
  • Which sources answered and which did not, to tell a complete result from a partial one.

How to check a plate in San Vicente

A plate is checked by hand at the San Vicente municipal portal, in the provincial sources explained in the Buenos Aires article and at the ANSV national lookup. The API does the same round at scale and returns each fine with the authority that issued it, so verification becomes part of the process rather than a spreadsheet.

What to watch if you run a fleet in San Vicente

A service fleet attending San Vicente’s gated communities enters from the City along Route 210 and crosses the urban stretch with speed checks on every visit; the fine reaches the owner’s address weeks later. Looking up each plate at month end, with the per-source result stored, assigns the fine to the technician and covers the defence in time.

For a rent-a-car or a transfer company whose cars go to the lagoon and the gated communities at weekends, checking the plate at the return of each service, with the result stored, charges the fine to the customer who was driving instead of absorbing it when renewing the technical inspection.

How to integrate

Each plate is sent in a POST, with the jurisdictions to include if you do not want to query all of them. The response accepts the job and the result is retrieved by status lookup or arrives by webhook once the sources finish answering. The vehicle lookup quality guide explains how to handle partial results and the API page details access.

Limits and considerations

  • Fines on national and provincial routes outside the town limits are not municipal; the response names the authority of each.
  • Fixed-unit amounts are converted at the value current at the source; the final amount is set by the authority at the time of payment.
  • A source that does not answer is reported as such, never as an absence of infractions.
  • The API neither pays fines nor handles defences; it delivers information to decide.
