## Overview

This planned product is intended to retrieve published Revisión Técnica Obligatoria information from approved sources. It focuses on retaining the context of each inspection record, including vehicle category and the responsible organization when available, so your workflow can interpret the result appropriately.

## Coverage and availability

This product is in preparation. A single registry covering every category and jurisdiction is not assumed. Each proposed use case will be assessed against the sources, identifiers and information it requires.

## What to consider

-   An RTO observation must be interpreted within the vehicle category and organization publishing it, without extending its scope to other inspection regimes.
-   VTV remains a separate product; records concerning the same vehicle are not automatically equivalent inspection records.
-   An earlier result does not establish current mechanical condition or justify inferring renewals that a source has not published.

## Frequently asked questions

How does this differ from the VTV API?

The integration is defined by the inspection registry being consulted. RTO and VTV will retain separate contracts and scopes; neither will turn one registry's data into proof from the other.

Will it support every vehicle category?

That scope still requires validation. When requesting access, specify the vehicle types and operating context so the relevant sources can be assessed.

Could it automate an acceptance decision?

The information could support your review, but you must establish which fields are sufficient and how to handle missing, expired or unavailable records. The API itself will not grant authorization.
